Christies' Fun Fact of the Week!
Question: Do you tap the same trees every year? Does it hurt the tree?

Answer: Yes, we tap the same trees each year, depending on the health of the tree. Each year we use a new "slim Health tap" for each tree, which makes a small 5/16" hole. After the season, we remove the tap and let the tree heal. Maple trees have to be 30+ years old to tap, so we take good care of them!
